Project REBUILD is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people through education, training, and leadership development. Our flagship program, YouthBuild Greater Stark County, serves young adults ages 16 to 24 who face barriers to education and employment, including poverty, unstable housing, involvement with the justice system, and other life challenges. Through a proven model that combines education, hands-on job training, leadership development, mentoring, and supportive services, participants earn their high school diploma or equivalent, gain industry-recognized credentials, develop career skills, and build the confidence needed to achieve long-term success.
YouthBuild participants spend time working toward educational goals, gaining practical experience in construction and customer service, and developing leadership and life skills while giving back to the community through service projects. By creating a supportive environment and individualized pathways to success, we help young people rebuild their lives while making a positive impact in Stark County.
In recent years, Project REBUILD has expanded its reach through partnerships with schools, community organizations, and local agencies. These collaborations have allowed us to offer after-school programs, summer enrichment activities, mentoring, career exploration, and skill-building opportunities for youth of all ages. We are committed to meeting young people where they are and providing meaningful experiences that promote personal growth, academic success, and workforce readiness.
Looking ahead, Project REBUILD will continue expanding opportunities for the broader community by offering basic home maintenance, safety, and practical skills classes for homeowners, renters, and anyone interested in learning valuable hands-on skills. Through all of our programs, our goal remains the same: to strengthen individuals, support families, and build stronger communities throughout Stark County.
One thing people may not know about Project REBUILD is that our participants are improving their own futures while helping rebuild our community. Through YouthBuild Greater Stark County, young people earn their education, gain valuable job skills, and develop leadership abilities while completing projects that benefit local neighborhoods and residents. This combination of personal growth, workforce training, and community service creates a powerful experience that transforms lives and strengthens Stark County at the same time.
