I’m an architect and a graduate of Kent State University, and I’m licensed to practice in Ohio, Florida and West Virginia. I graduated from McKinley High School, so I’ve always had a strong connection to the local community. One of the first projects I worked on was the Skyland Pines Banquet Facility, which was a memorable opportunity early in my career. Since then, I’ve designed more than 50 nursing homes and assisted living facilities, along with many other projects.
Giving back to the community has also been an important part of my career. I’m a member and past president of the Kent State Tuscarawas Foundation Board, as well as a member and past president of the Carroll County Rotary Club. I also serve as treasurer of the Carroll County Salvation Army Board.
Dan Sciury and Bernie Jenkins were the ones who encouraged me to get involved with the Workforce Development Board. They were a big influence in my decision to join, and being part of the board has given me the opportunity to learn a lot and gain a better understanding of the workforce system and the work being done in our community.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf. I’m also keeping busy with some new projects, including work I’m doing for Wingstop.
