TEAM Tuscarawas

The main focus of TEAM Tuscarawas (Training and Education Alliance for Manufacturing) is to develop systems that align education and manufacturing needs, to create and employ an equitable and sustainable local workforce. This is paramount to improving not only the economy of Stark and Tuscarawas counties, but also the lives of their residents. We want to see everyone reach their potential, and a career in manufacturing can help many people do that. By increasing awareness, aligning education/training, and reducing barriers to employment, TEAM Tuscarawas can greatly improve our community.

We believe that the heart of our community lies in its workforce. By bringing together local manufacturers, educators, and community leaders, we are focused on one primary goal: talent development. We are here to champion the skilled trades, highlight high-tech career paths, and build pathways for talent that keep our local economy thriving.

TEAM Tuscarawas is an employer-led, employer-driven organization – we advocate on behalf of employers to help them grow and create more high-quality jobs than are already in our area. We find that many young adults feel the need to leave the Tuscarawas County area to find a good job, but we want to show our community that this is not the case.

Some highlights of TEAM Tuscarawas as of early 2026:

• Already, we have seen our partners make connections and start working outside of TEAM Tuscarawas events. Being able to foster relationships that lead to long-term change and growth is something that we are very proud of.
• We are working with the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association to design a 1-year apprenticeship program for maintenance technicians.
• We are creating paid opportunities for K-12 students to have an introductory learning experience with our local employers.
• We have been selected as a subrecipient of the WorkOhio program by MAGNET, which is the Northeastern Ohio hub for the program.
